Artist in residence

2024 residencies are full. Please apply for 2025.

Auckland Studio Potters invites professional ceramic artists and craftspeople from the world over to apply for one of our two residency positions.

Our primary objective is to provide creative time and space for our Residents to develop a new project or body of work in ceramics.  Our ceramic residencies run for periods of up to 12 weeks.  Residencies of longer duration can be requested.

At this time we are not able to provide housing accommodation however, we have a small database of members with possible Air BnB options.

This is an opportunity for the artist to connect with our thriving community of ceramic artists, potters, members and supporters of the arts, by sharing their expertise and inspiring others through their example. Resident Artists can enjoy and contribute to the atmosphere of experimental exploration at Auckland Studio Potters.

Resident Artists have the opportunity to be a dynamic part of the regional ceramic community as well as the local arts community.
