COVID-19 Health & Safety Plan (Updated 31 Aug 2020)
ASP falls under the Business COVID-19 Health & Safety guidelines where for context matters only, our members are therefore "customers". There are exceptions however for our studio residents and the Otago University Diploma class.
LEVEL 1
OPEN!!
GENERAL
Sign-in with NZ COVID Tracer app or log book. (App is preferred as it’s the fastest and most efficient way to contact trace.)
Wiping down of all common surfaces and door handles on opening and closing.
If unwell, you must stay home.
Regular hand-washing and sanitising of surfaces throughout the day (minimum, every 90 minutes).
LEVEL 2
(Ref: Doing Business At Alert Level 2)
CLASSES
Wheels are at least 1m a part and both rows can exist by having them all face the same way rather than towards eachother.
Masks are recommended.
Wedging - 2 large tables (2/table) and 2 small tables (1/table) = 6 wedgers at a time.
Handbuilders have the option of working in the house as it's unused, with thorough cleaning at the end of the class. Again, they must work facing the same way. (Our cleaning contractors are back at level 2 as well.)
Regular sanitising door handles, and we will remind people to maintain physical distance.Signing in using tracer app or log sheet.
If anyone wants to buy clay, one person plus tutor at the front desk with sanitising on the way in. Only tutor or 2IC is allowed in and out of the clay shed.
People can go into the house one at a time to make a cup of tea, sanitising on the way in.No shared food.
Sanitise spray gun after use.
One person at a sink at a time, sanitise taps after use.
One person in the kiln shed or bisque shed at a time.
OPEN STUDIO
Restricted to 10 people per 3 hr studio time slot as this is less controlled then our classes.
Studio practise is the same as Classes above.
DIPLOMA
Open to full diploma class.
Studio practise is the same as Classes above.
FIRING
Only one person allowed in the kiln shed at a time.

CLASSES & OPEN STUDIO
Closed as members are not allowed on site except for staff, studio residents and the Diploma course.
RESIDENCIES, CENTRE MANAGER & KILN TECH
ASP Bubble #1 (AB1): A bubble of four people and are assigned one of the two toilets.
Closed to everyone else.
DIPLOMA
Diploma Students & Diploma Staff only, split into Diploma Bubble #1 (DB1) and #2 (DB2):
Each bubble is less than 10 people and only one Diploma Bubble on site at a time.
Diploma bubbles are assigned the non-AB1 toilet.
Residents only of AB1 are allowed on site but must stay away from the studio.
Closed to everyone else.
FIRING
Open only to the mentioned bubbles with one person in the kiln shed at a time.

Pre Lockdown cleaning if possible.
No wheel hire and no pick-ups sorry.
