Monday Morning

Taught by Peter Lange with over 40 years in clay behind him, the Monday morning class concentrates on wheel-throwing and its emphasis is on functional domesticware. We work towards firing a salt or soda kiln twice a year.

Monday Evening

This is a friendly, busy class for all levels including wheel throwing and hand-building. There is often a wood-firing or salt firing during the course of the year.

Tuesday Morning

This is a mixed class, with both experienced students and beginners. Topics covered include wheel throwing, slab vessels and glazing.

This class is for students with some wheel experience, who are looking to improve their basic throwing techniques and try new forms. We will also cover glazing techniques this term.

A 5 week class that explores Glazing and Surface Effects with Frank Checketts. This is a class for people with some Glazing experience who would like to expand their knowledge by creating and testing new glazes for Cone 6.

This class is for beginning and intermediate throwers. Tutor Renton Murray is an expert thrower and teacher and gets great results from students who want to try their hand on the wheel.
