There is an Anagama firing scheduled and Renton is excited about it. Mike is prepping the wood and the plan is to load the kiln on April 13,14,15 and fire April 16,17,18. We have a group of 12 people already committed and are looking for several more dedicated pyromaniacs to participate. 16 potters is about the ideal number, so not many spaces left. Please contact Carol Stewart if you are interested at carolstewart@ihug.co.nz or 09 8109433; and start making...the kiln holds a lot!."
With Clay Edge 2007 a distant memory I'm sure you're all excited to note that the next Gulgong Clay event is just around the corner. That's right, from April 28th until May 2nd 2010 Gulgong will indeed be hosting Clay Energy, the 8th event in this series of conferences. Invited artists are coming from Finland, Hungary, Israel, UK, USA, NZ and Australia to lead the workshop presentations, talks and demonstrations. For more information about the conference, an up-to-date program of events and lots more, visit the Clay Energy website: http://www.clayenergy.ceramicart.net.au. Feel free to pass this message on to anyone else who might be interested in attending Clay Energy.
The Big Clay Day Out (BCDO) is the ASP's main publicity and fundraising event. The 2009 event took place on Sunday 6th December.
The BCDO is a great day out for the whole family. See Auckland’s largest pottery fair with great entertainment on the side.
