A Special Film Evening

Thursday 2nd September at the Centre. Film starts at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). Robin Kewell will present two short films on Bernard Leach and his St Ives pottery. Robin grew up in St Ives and worked briefly with Bernard Leach before settling in to work with Barbara Hepworth. Light supper provided. Cost to cover the screening is $8.

The Big Clay Day Out

The Big Clay Day Out (BCDO) is the ASP's main publicity and fundraising event. The 2009 event took place on Sunday 6th December.

The BCDO is a great day out for the whole family. See Auckland’s largest pottery fair with great entertainment on the side.

• All sorts of ceramics are available at great prices for the discerning shopper.
• Delicious food available all day.
• Raku firing.
• Paint-a-pot.
• Make your own pot on the wheel.
• Games like the Slippery Dip and the Catapult.
• Exhibition of work by Auckland students of the Otago Polytechnic Diploma of Ceramic Arts course, which is taught through ASP.
• Get your Christmas shopping done early – and keep the family amused as well.
• Get an insight into the world of ceramics which is alive and well in Auckland.
